Moving to NYC is the best thing you can do for yourself in the long run.

San Jose and NY would prob be best if you want to stay in Tech / IT; Cali in general would prob be best if you prefer a warmer weather and no snow

Depends what level you’re coming in as and if it’s in industry or not; between 90-130k base will be expected
McLean is lovely
Nicest weather would be LA. It would probably be in the middle for expenses. San Jose would likely be better for IT opportunities.
Have you AND your wife spent significant time in the US/abroad? If not, this will narrow down choices further if you would like a good Indian community.

Yeah I was gonna say, maybe not downtown Philly but the suburbs esp have a good Indian community but the ones that do are much further from center city. Otherwise, downtown Philly isn’t too expensive compared to most big cities, mostly walkable, and pretty young town, you’d still find an Indian community esp near temple university but that would be mostly undergrad / grad students at that point or the ones that stay past that.

I would chose San Jose. Not as expensive as Ny or SF. Lots of Tech opportunities in Bay Area. Nice weather all year round.
