I am feeling down. I make $113k and my retirement savings rate is 20%. The amount of money that hits my bank account every month is $4100. I bought a $230k house, which I thought was reasonable for my income. My mortgage is $1850 and my utilities are like $300/month. So my housing cost is like 50% of my take home. Then when shit breaks, (water heater, roof etc.) It's like I can't get ahead. I drive a cheap car, I don't go out to restaurants,at all but life just seems to cost more than $2k/month.
