RN says no conclusive data to suggest covid impacts sperm quality, but we’re skeptical. Have others dealt with this and could shed some light please?

Okay, it’s time to stop putting on a face about this. I love my boyfriend so much, but covid is ruining us. We are both still WFH and argue every few days about the dumbest stuff. My and his mental health are both diminishing and it feels like an impossible trench to dig out of. My stomach hurts every time we fight and I (independent of him) feel so stuck in this horrible global crisis. I don’t want to lose him, but I need to figure out how to dig us both out of this unsustainable mental state.

I’m trapped. My husband is a gaslighter. He pushes me to the point of no return. It exacerbates my depression and anxiety and I get so worked up that I can’t function. I can’t leave because we have a baby and I know he would take him from me. I have no one out here and I’m alone. I just have to put up with it. There are good times. But it’s hard to keep living like this.

I recently tested positive for covid and thankfully recovered. I just had another test and waiting for the results. My partner has been asking me when I can go back into the office. The truth is I’m hesitant to going back in because I likely caught the virus there and I have parents at home. But I feel some pressure to go back in. Any advice?

Are there any studies on the outcomes of IVF babies ? We heard from our doctor that they pick the best eggs and the best sperms then implant the blastocysts that show the best growth - I was curious if those advantages continue on after birth.

Any advice on if your specifically assigned practice area stalls due to factors you can’t control (e.g. rising interest rates causing borrowing to stop and your a loan documentation attorney)? Most other practice areas are full or don’t have additional work to dish out at the moment so I’m not sure what to do. I’m worried about not meeting billable requirements but don’t see much I can do.

I am on my second IUI attempt - I have PCOS and this time the ultrasound found no mature follicles after five days on letrozole. My RE is “stair stepping” the letrozole - moving to 5 mg immediately - in order to force ovulation. Has anyone experienced this? Taking letrozole mid-cycle?

Just tested positive for COVID and I was supposed to start a medicated FET cycle tomorrow (would have begun taking estrogen pills tomorrow and target transfer date was July 28). Obviously, this cycle has to be called off, but now I’m worried about how soon we can get back to it. Anyone else been in this situation? Can you tell me how it impacted your timing and if there were any long term effects?

I am getting ready to start my first IVF cycle and I went in for baselines and I have a few cysts that haven’t cleared up. They want me to trigger immediately to start the cycle over again. Has this happened to anyone else? Fingers crossed I don’t miss the next IVF start date at my clinic!

Looking for some advice. I'm 35 turning 36 soon. After 2 months of trying with my husband, I got pregnant. We were so happy until finding out 7 weeks later we miscarried. My doctor is telling me to wait another 6 months and keep trying. Then we would start looking at fertility and going down that route. It has been 2 months and haven't gotten pregnant (after the miscarriage). I'm thinking of setting up an appointment with fertility clinic now versus waiting another 4 months. Any advice for me?

Has anyone had an IVF cycle cancelled? I’m going in for stims day 8 monitoring tomorrow morning and thus far they’ve just told me that due to my lower AMH (1), it just takes time for them to grow.

I am planning to change jobs but worried about losing the IVF coverage. I was reading that New Jersey mandates that all insurance providers that cover pregnancy, should provide fertility coverage. Does that mean, we have blanket coverage if we stay in New Jersey. What if the employer is in New York? Looks like NY also have similar mandate. Which one will apply and how?
