I feel like my billable hourly rate is way too low. I know I’m only a second year at a boutique firm but for some clients I’m billed at only $175. I also have an MBA - am I crazy to think my hour should be “worth” more?

Last week I have done with 2nd technical round (after 1st technical) with capgemini followed by HR discussion on same day and HR discussed about salary and notice period everything asked me to keep all documents ready. .. But it's been 1 week still didn't get any call or email from CG for documents requiment Or confirmation. HR saying that its still under approval.. What does it mean?

I ordered a Tesla model 3 SR in April and I am able to take delivery this weekend, however I’m now unsure of whether it’s the right move financially. I have a lease on a 2020 BMW X3 that will end next month and was wondering if I should just buy that out and drive it for a few years. If it makes a difference I’m in SoCal so gas is $$$, but no EV charging in my apartment.

Tesla: $830/month + charging and insurance
BMW: $600/m + $150 gas + maint/insurance

Any thoughts? Is the Tesla worth it?

Just found out my raise for the year and it’s an increase of 5.6%. It is the raise I would’ve received last year, but then that was halted due to covid and no one got raises. I’m the most senior associate and have been told I’m on partner track, but I think the raise should’ve been higher and am pissed, but I’m also grateful to still have a job with covid. 15+ years experience in Forensic Accounting. What would be considered fair pay in the NYC area? Average yearly Billings was 2,500, however recently took over the building out of systems, training younger staff, more marketing in a set region; basically more non billable work.

I’ve been offered a reporting consultant job for less than 60k and I bring 9+ years of experience to the role. They should be offering more. I don’t want to settle but I don’t want to miss an opportunity to move. Reporting consultants should start at $65k per recruiting sites. Any advice? How can I get HR/recruiters to offer more? TIA
