If I don't have much work or less than 8 hours of work a day, what should I charge on DTE to make it 8? Currently I have one project where I charge 4 hours then rest of 4 hours at GAA. Is that right?
I don’t understand how some men doing well in their consulting jobs seem socially inept particularly when it comes to dating/relationships. I assume that someone with ‘client hands’ would know how to communicate with and handle a woman he likes. And I’m talking about fully grown men (30+).. Am I wrong to assume this?
If you’re an analyst and ur project doesn’t want to give u OT, isn’t that illegal? Should I go to HR?

@creative resource managers/creative services mgr. when your freelancers finish your project, ask them how it went, or send an email with a short survey. Just as you ask staffers to rate freelancers.
My current SM is actually awesome (and no this isn’t the first week on the engagement) what’s wrong with the project?
Love when a director decides to push a meeting with the client (against everyone's advice), then the partner finds out and the D gets grilled in front of everyone #itsthelittlethings

Why has the Deloitte USI leadership not mandatorily extended WFH policy further for few months ? There is no clear cut instructions and the onus of coming to office has been left to team leaders who themselves are unsure of what decisions to make. Providing an optional work from office at this time when omicron is spreading rapidly just creates lot of ambiguity among people as to what is expected
Is it true that you have to do case interviews for industry jobs when moving from consulting to industry?
Has anyone crossed the border (via car) into Italy recently? I know I need a covid test, I’m just wondering how this is actually… enforced. Are there border controls? Or is it more like random testing? Would be driving in from Austria for reference.

Considering making a lateral move as a biglaw (Kirkland/Sidley/Cleary/Paul Weiss type firm) mid level litigation associate in a major market to a similar firm in the same market. I don’t dislike my current firm or work, have very strong reviews, and good relationships with some key partners. Main motivation for lateraling is for potential of a significant signing bonus given the current landscape, and general uncertainty about future at my current firm. Would appreciate any advice/insights.
Has anyone left a senior co role at b4 and moved to a smaller firm as a consultant and regretted it? Pay is better but would rather be doing this at b4?

Is anyone else dreading getting back to working from the office? I’m quite an introvert and actually enjoyed this work from home, more exercise, less travel, family time and most importantly didn’t have to talk to anyone, lol!
I've become really jaded about consulting. I find all so often you need to tell the client what they want to hear to keep their business and I feel like so much of the what I recommend doesn't actually get implemented. I'm looking to make a career switch so I can both create and execute on my strategies. A product management path seems very promising for this. Does anyone who switched from consulting to product management have any recommendations of h helpful PM books, courses, or programs?
