Hello,
I am looking to pivot from the beauty industry to the tech industry. A hiring manager from
LinkedIn reached out to me about a position LinkedIn. I reached the case study stage and haven’t heard back. Not sure what to do next. It’s been difficult tying to make this move. I am open to any advice or mentorship’s.

Deloitte OCM laid off consultants and analysts. A recruiter contacted me about a position that listed Deloitte OCM methodology and ChangeScout experience as a plus. It is a contractor to hire position that can be remote now and into the future. The rate is too low for me and it seems@more on target at the analyst to SC level. DM me for Deets.

Had an interview with Hexaware and 3 days back HR1 called me and said she will send the offer letter next week. 2 days back HR2 called me and said a client interview is scheduled for you and I attended that. In last few months, I've seen many people joining Salesforce as success engineer.
They're offering a lot more than other companies to folks who are switching for the first time or are relatively new to the field.

Is it worth it to take up a support role in Salesforce since it pays well, or does this have long term implications on the career since you'd want to move to development eventually?

For those of you with high functioning triads, what makes your engineering lead standout? I am in a product team where the engineering lead was a good developer who was promoted into role when the previous lead left. They are a good IC, but have trouble staying out of the weeds and I don't feel like the engineers have enough thought leadership. Trying to work on this dynamic with coaching, but I'd love some insights into what you see as must have attributes/ways of working for that role.

Received a job offer via video call. The hiring manager was thoroughly providing pertinent information and everything was going well. Then as she said, “…with a starting salary of…” the connection cut out. 🤣 Came back on as she was explaining the time period for bonuses.
Don’t worry, I explained what happened and got the numbers. But damn, does the universe have a sense of humor sometimes.

What are your thoughts on 100% remote opportunities for CD?

I am currently CD Director at a major consulting firm working 100% remote (Europe) but am planning to transition into a CD role at one of the large software companies (
Microsoft, Amazon, Autodesk, Ansys, Dassault Systemes, PTC, Siemens). I noticed that most CD teams are based out of a single city (generally HQ location).

Do you believe it's possible for those companies to hire remote talent worldwide? If not, why?

Just curious if all the cardiac sonographers starting out in the profession, what was your starting wage? After working so many year how much did your income increase? How much was your pay for being on call?

Currently I am one year out of school starting at around $26/HR with my on call pay being $2.75 an hour (we doing it weekly at my hospital) and we average around 100 hour of on call so it’s close to $300 per on call week.

I was checking and comparing healthcare costs for the two companies my spouse and I work for. For me with HSA it is around $900 per month for just Medical, Vision and Dental. For my wife (with HSA) it is $300 per month. Both have $3000 deductible. My out of pocket max is $14000 while my wife’s is $7000. All of these numbers are for a family of 4. Why do we have such a huge difference in healthcare costs for similar coverage? My wife’s company is 30K employees and my company is 300K employees.
