Did you tell them you were moving? Had they made any kind of announcement about returning to the office? There are potential tax/payroll implications for them depending on where you moved, so as a small company it might actually be a bigger issue anyway. Personally I’d say just be honest now. Ask what’s driving the mandatory visits or what they’re to accomplish and see if you can work something out, even if it’s going for a week a month or something. Good luck!

Thank you! Well to answer some of your qs they want to build culture hence the mandatory future visits. Which is sad because some of their non creative employees work from out of state. But i didn't tell them i was moving yet. Im scared they would fire me and ill be left without a job. But if i wait to get a job before speaking to them my move might get delayed depending on when i find a new position.

The reason agencies want people back at least a couple of days is because 1.) the work is better when we collaborate together and 2.) the work gets done faster in person. It’s a fact. Writers and Art Directors are actually resorting to pre-Bernbach days in some cases, emailing copy and then images back and forth. That is never as good as sitting together in a room. The play of ideas, the taking a walk to get coffee, the big wall of ideas — those actually make the work better.

But CW1 you’re working on them in person, discussing, concepting… in person.

Reallocating my 401k investment mix. Check my logic. Previous: VTI 75% VXUS 25% New: VTI 30% VB (Small Cap ETF) 20% VUG (Growth ETF) 50% I'm 32 with less than 60k in retirement savings. Don't plan on retiring for another 18-20 years at least. My justification for nixing VXUS is because VTI already has 40% exposure to international sales. I want to focus on growth and I believe that I can accept risk with a 20-year runway. Added VB because VTI and VUG cover large and mid-cap. Thoughts?

All things equal - would you take 150 base and 300-400+ OTE to work remote for a Series C tech firm out of NYC? Or 120 base and 275 OTE to work for a Series B out of Scottsdale? I can’t seem to “close the loop” when it comes to getting job offers. It seems I’m able to get interviews and perform well enough to be invited back for additional interviews but either I never hear back in the end or get the dreaded “thank you for applying” email. How can I break this weird barrier!? For context, I am applying to in-house roles from a law firm background. Midlevel.
