Serious question: how have you recruited but not used any type of tracking system? What do you do instead?

Maybe helpful suggestion: ATS’s are all about the same and all pretty easy to use. If/when asked you can relate the experience to another system you’ve used previously and mention you’re a quick study and confident you would pick it up quickly. Doesn’t hurt to ask the recruiter what ATS they use and then go watch demo videos on YouTube prior to the business interview- it also shows initiative.

You can use that to your advantage in an interview because most ATS are just a computerized version of what you did by hand. For example in my last position, the search firm wasn’t paying for a software that could sort through job listings online for us, so I learned how to do it by hand, and used that to my advantage in interviews for places that did have that software because 1) I could correct the results we got from the software by auditing through them 2) I was more familiar with job postings than someone who had used that software and never looked through postings themselves. So something like that with ATS Can be skewed the same way. Like I did this all by hand why would I have trouble doing it the easier way ?

When I first started I googled different ATS. As well as I searched how to be a successful recruiter. Maybe start their because That’s the main tool used when recruiting.

The final interview for one company is a research project. Theyve asked me to research 3 people at their company to whom Id sell a product to. Any advice? I need to inform them what product id sell, what id say, and how id research them. In insurance sales it is mostly building relationships over phone/email versus research online
