Hello,
I do not have a formal education in Finance and am really an amateur. I want to work in finance and what books should I start reading to know more about the industry. Any suggestions please?

Your best bet is to network to find a way into the industry first. You can gain the knowledge along the way.

I was the same way as you! I just started out at an entry level call center job that paid for my licensing to get my foot in the door and then listened to a bunch of finance podcasts

We need a lot of help with babies and kids, especially when both parents are working. I know this because i have a 4 year old. But i am still healing from the struggles of trying my best to raise the kid and keeping everything afloat.

While we are planning second, i don't want to be struggling for air like the first time. And i know its going to be even crazier with two kids. I am anxious

So, where and how do you find help? Did you do it on your own, if yes, how on earth without going mad?

Looking for objective opinions. I was in a training session today with all men and one other woman. Truth be told, I was by far best there (based on effort, not necessarily natural ability). I suddenly felt like a goody twos shoes and unliked for coming prepared. The woman was indifferent with me which happens a lot with women in the industry. Sometimes I think it’s because I’m well put together and carry myself with confidence (I’m no Kate Moss but I did used to be a fashion buyer). Cont. below
