I had an interview with @cognizant all rounds done with HR AND Salary negotiation, after that I sent an email to them related to my offer status. However, they replied me as, we have kept you on hold etc.
And now @cognizant hr called me 3 times for job opening, and I have told them my offer is on hold. Now, they have scheduled interview. Is it for same or new. It's really confusing for me.
If they release old offer what we have discussed or they will interview me again

Meta technical solutions consultant interview prep - can someone let me know if they have gone through the technical rounds for Technical Solutions Consultant role? Can you share what to prepare for since it’s not a data science type of role so most likely not hard level MySQL questions. Any specific types of queries that I should learn? Thanks!

Career growth is limited. Getting to Director if you aren't hired at that level from outside is ridiculously hard That said it's an interesting place to work. You can change roles every 24 months internally and do a ton of different things, but everything encourages lateral moves at the same pay grade rather than pushing towards promotion.
It is an extremely political and financial analysis heavy company. Who you know and how well you influence others to know you by name will affect annual raises and promotions. Also, they say they don't stack rank people, but right before I left, management was still using it to play favorites at review time.
Starting pay is generally pegged to 80% of market median, so you almost always have room to negotiate upwards on salary. It's important to negotiate because raises are rarely more than at par with inflation.
Yes you may.
Yeah Dell’s career growth is mostly focused on helping you with L&D (learning and development) with all these programs they run. I’d say here is where you learn instead of earn. “To be happy in a job one should be earning and learning. If you can’t have both then at least have one. If you have neither then definitely get out of there.” They encourage a lot of people to take lots of classes and trainings on products, IT, tools etc. I’ve learned soo much in 4 years especially going from team to team and even from the finance org to the business operations org it’s totally different. I think a lot of people try to squeeze as much learning as they can here and then they can leave and earn a lot more somewhere else with all that experience and knowledge. A lot of managers at Dell also support you if you wanna get a masters and give you more flexibility to pursue that. However once you get a masters it’s not like they really value that in giving you a raise or promotion so that’s when most bounce.
Thanks a lot SA1!
I recently got an offer for a Data Engineer role at Dell.
Interview with the hiring manager was focussed on my experience with different technologies. He also asked me what my approach would be to solve a problem. And followup of how I would optimize it.
Then, couple of technical rounds. Here, I had two coderpad challenges (leetcode medium questions) and in-depth discussion/questions about my work experience, projects and other data engineering tech. Interviews ended with few what-if scenario questions.
Hope this helps.
They were algorithmic questions similar to the ones you find on Leetcode. I don’t remember any of them asking SQL. But that depends on what they are looking for specifically in the role. The position I interviewed for is a Senior Data Engineer role.
