Delay to January and study data structures and algorithms… Just LC problems tagged with Meta and you’ll know what to do

like

Make sure you are 100% prepared. Delay until Jan and go all out.

Agree with the others, delay as much as you can and prepare as much as you can

What role are you going for?

Delay, practice and be honest with them. They know you're a new grad, so they can't expect you to be an expert at everything.

I agree delay and practice. Don't feel like your status as a new grad is a weakness though. Especially with Meta being a new venture, it's entirely possible they will screen to make sure you know enough and can be trained for the rest. Nobody screens a new grad an expects to find they've stumbled upon a prodigy, so work hard but don't but too much pressure on yourself.

Disagree on this one. They do expect that you can answer the interview questions very well. Most likely better that someone with more YOE because as a new grad, the knowledge is fresh. Meta is also not a new venture. The company is huge and there’s no internal shift in hiring practices or lowering the bar just because the company shifted focus. If anything, there’s more targeted hiring for AR/VR which is a more of a specialty

The phone screen has a lower bar than onsite. Typically if interviewer thinks you have > 25% chance of getting through the onsite they will pass you. So grind LC, pass phone screen, and delay onsite as far as possible. Then do LC mediums/hards till you can answer 2 mediums or 1 hard in 30 mins. Best of luck.

Eeesh that's tough but I think you've gotten some great advice here. I would definitely delay it rather than winging it, and time yourself so that you don't feel super pressured the day of. Best of luck!

I got through multiple rounds of interviews for a job and didn’t get moved forward. It’s a Sr job and I’m Sr level. I asked for feedback on the interview process and was told there wasn’t anything specific, I made it far and did well. It made me wonder if asking for interview feedback after Sr level interviews is really appropriate? Should I be far enough in my career that I don’t need that specific feedback?

How fast is too fast to get an offer? I had two easy interviews (founders only) and got an offer $20k higher than asking in under 72 hours from first call. It's a very small 9yo company, very niche product, and I’m finding no behind-the-scenes information (doesn't even show up in Glassdoor.) Two other prospects are going very well, but still have 3+ rounds to go for each. Did I just hit the jackpot, or is this too good to be true? Would you take the offer, try vetting them further, or run?

I recently had an in-house interview for a large company where the screening interviewer communicated the salary range and told me that I had to let him know on the spot if the range was not high enough. The amount was lower than I initially expected based on my research into the role and company so I was a little surprised. What is the best response to this question bearing in mind that I would like to make it to the next round while negotiating a higher salary?
