I am already in the field so to speak at a tech company and finishing a masters in DA, and would suggest making the pivot to data before pivoting to tech so you come with some data analytics experience; unless you can already include some DA experience or projects on your resume from what you are currently doing in higher education. And instead of using titles on your resume that don’t highlight all you are doing, switch to skills and role “types” so resume reader apps pickup on skills you want to use in new roles. You may already be doing this but sharing just in case. That’s how I pivoted to tech from non-tech.
Thank you for your suggestions. I am not currently working on any projects in DA in my current job but I’ll definitely see if I can incorporate DA into my job. While I work on that, any particular certifications or boot camps you would suggest to learn more about DA? Someone said look into python, SQL, etc. Thoughts?
An immersive course. Then I switched to consulting which technologies heavily recruits from plus a ton of networking
