Hello! I got a Cartier Tank at my 10 year practice anniversary and had it engraved on the back. I love it. If you like watches, picking a nice one would be a cool milestone piece.

Love my Burberry trench. I got it when I was 26 and it’s a timeless classic piece. It was my reward when I got into the MBA program of my dreams and I will always associate it with me achieving my goal!

I got myself a ring! It’s small, i always have it on, a constant reminder of my hardwork first year into practice. I also considered getting myself a nice wallet with my initials embossed on the inside, LV does it.

Got myself an 18k Tiffany ring. Have never been big into jewelry, but I loved the simple elegance of this design. For me, I wanted something for daily wear as a great constant reminder that I've got my own back :)

This ring was my birthday present to myself last year! Love it!

First ever designer piece (purchased by me) was a pair of nude Valentino rock stud pumps...I have like a million now but those girls serve as a reminder as to why I do what I do and why I keep grinding everyday, they’re placed at the center-eye level amongst all my shoes.

I’d love some help thinking through this. I’m currently renting for $1600 base ($1800 total) and live in the least desirable part of town, and expect it to raise to about $2k/month. I was planning to buy my first property in the city and Airbnb part of it, but it will take me about a year to save up the cash (~$500k starting). Eventual goal is to move more rural but trying to build to FI. I found a property in my ideal dream location for $280k but it needs work, and can’t Airbnb it. Continued

After talks with my regional marketing team (RMT), each of us feels that we deserve a raise and have been underpaid since we began. We are the most productive RMT, we drive global scaling with our work as examples, and train up our counterpart teams across the globe. All of this with half the team members of the other teams and within two years of our existence. Does anyone have guidance or advice on how to raise this type of issue, and how to seek a raise both individually and as a team?

I was due for a promotion but then covid hit, and during the peak of layoffs/furloughs, I was given the run-around that we have agency wide promotion freezes, etc. Over the past month, a handful of people have been promoted. I know everyone's situation is different but I can't help feeling snubbed. How do I know whether they are genuinely trying to promote me and can't, versus them stringing me along for as long as possible? I dont want it to come to having to bring another offer to the table..
