Hello! I just got NIE exemption for travel from India to US. Does anyone know if I can travel to Europe and come back to US or is the NIE visa limited to specific proclamations? Thanks!

The NIE is specific to the travel you requested for. If you have an NIE for travel to US from India that will be applicable for one year. If you have an NIE to travel from Europe to US then it can be used for that purpose. That is my understanding.

Thank you. This is helpful.

That sounds great! If you don't mind sharing, how did you get it?

Life of non-immigrants depend on the Visa they hold and it’s so sad these companies don’t have a team where we can speak to someone immediately in case of a visa emergency situation . In EY you need to submit a form and wait for days together to get a reply from a human. Mean time you would have gone through 5 anxiety attacks.
