I see some of you have multiple retirement accounts - is that necessary if I don’t know if I’ll stay here long term? What else could I do to build wealth?

Is it just me or are there entirely too many people in Business Services, specifically TC’s, who are just folks from client service that don’t want to deal with hours and travel anymore but have no formal training in the Business Services function they transition to? It seems to me very few TC’s are professionals in HR with any background, training or certifications in HR.

Hey friends, I was laid off (due to COVID) from Accenture a month ago as an analyst. I had a pretty good network of SM, MD and managers that I talked to frequently before. However once I was laid off, I got depressed and haven’t reached out to any of them. I feel horrible but I’m trying to push myself out of my depression and make some positive changes. My fear is that at this point, I’m just a number and that they don’t care. It’s causing me anxiety and I’m telling myself it’s too late now.
