Hello! I was wondering if you or anyone you know works in a product designer/UX role at lululemon? I’ve noticed more job postings lately and was curious to hear about personal experiences of the culture. Recruiters always talk things up and I just want to hear the truth and if it’s worth applying or not 🙃

I’m feeling frequently tired and demotivated (aka burned out) at my current job, but I’m also frustrated at myself for not applying for other jobs or grad school. I see possibilities, but the idea of chasing those while grinding at my job seems daunting, or I’ll talk myself out of trying. It’s been a year of this and I’ve never felt so stuck. Has anyone else been stuck like this? How did you motivate yourself to get unstuck and either happily stay or exit your job?

Evaluating an exit into Amazon as L6 product manager (TC: $225K) after 1 year at BCG. I want to work in tech/fintech long term. Questions:
1) Is the work life balance better at Amazon, than BCG? Currently I'm averaging 70 hours a week. More than that, the pace is quite insane. Deliverables every couple of hours.
2) Is the level of mentorship/coaching better at Amazon?
3) Is the offer reasonable? Their upper max is 250k and I'm currently at 240, should I try to atleast get my current TC?

When following up after a final interview (it’s been about 2 weeks), what do you say?

I’m in a role where I have to build a personal brand - leadership in a startup. I don’t want to be a LinkedIn influencer though - you know the type - I really want to be a thought leader. I could go down D+I, or ER or something else but not sure if I should find a niche of speak more broadly or whether I even have enough experience to chat at all (I’m very, very young to be in this position).

From a startup/HR perspective, what are you struggling with? What do you want to hear about?

Considering a move to NTT Data in a healthcare consulting role. Mixed reviews in the bowls. Major concerns are bench policy, staff aug roles, 2 week PTO, and high turnover due to job dissatisfaction. Curious, but why isn’t tax calculated inside TC? The money you are forced to pay to the IRS isn’t compensation since you can’t use it. TC should be the amount you actually get to keep as compensation for your work. An extreme example would be if someone had a 100% tax rate for some mysterious reason. Would they be able to claim 150K TC even though they take home $0.00 a month?

What roles can realistically pay 200k+ with 3YOE excluding buyside, IB, and technical roles at FAANG?

Thoughts on working in-house early in career versus the other way around? I’m a student and my past experience and internship offers are heavy on the in house ‘startup’ d2c brand archetype... Will this hurt my chances of later going into an agency role? Concerned if I’m pigeonholing myself too early.

So I have a client, who I was late submitting the work to. They asked for their allowed number of changes, and based on our contract, more changes = more fees. So they sent me an email asking me for the indesign file so they make changes themselves . . Should I sent it, as compensation to being late? I already gave them a complimentary round of changes though.

Does anyone have any articles/resources/studies that prove common design legibility concepts? I.e. using multiple columns of text in an article vs spanning an entire width of page, or using images for visual resting space, or using varied type/design treatments to create hierarchy.
