Hello, I worked at Amazon and have 2.3 years experience as an associate(non tech) at L2 level and quit Amazon back in march 2022. After that i did course on Devops/aws and have been attending interviews for the Devops position but failing to clear technical in some and managerial rounds in some companies and have been unemployed. Any advice on getting your foot in the door in the Big 4 companies or the like, ie: PwC, Deloitte, etc. I feel like I have the perfect experience for some of these posted roles but the online application process is a black hole. I’ve seen my resume ‘in review’ for 6+ months or more. Do people only get interviewed for these roles through networking?

The gig posting said it was a couple months (until the end of june) but when I interviewed they said they were actually gonna extend me until next February. Just got done with a final case interview. He didn’t have questions because we were over time but he said if he thought it was not worth hearing, he would have interrupted me. Then he said usually no questions is a good sign. He mentioned there are 2 other final interviews today so he needs to decide from 3 people. Finally he said that the offer will take until next week so you can hear something from us then?

A former co-worker (not from W+K) who I know got let go because he was not effective or good at his job just got a new job as a VP of Design of a major corporation. He blatantly lied about his experience on LinkedIn (and I assume his resume), inflating his title and severely either overstating his role on projects or flat-out making up projects.
