Tally up everything you’ll lose by leaving job1:
You may lose a chunk of RSUs, 401k match if your company has a vesting schedule, etc.

It’s easy to increase a signing bonus if you explain WHY you need a larger signing bonus… when HR presents your offer for job2, if you enter that conversation with those figures they may just add those #s to their standard signing bonus package no questions asked.
I just job hopped & through negotiation they matched lost RSUs, lost 401k match + 10% relocation + 20% signing.
Yes. I had RSUs (stock grants) that vested over a long vesting schedule that were contingent on continued employment with Company1
Company2 added the m2m value of these RSUs to my signing bonus (cash).
20% pls
I think that would be pretty solid OP, good benchmark to go to. Also what SA1 said about what you'd lose out taking the new job
It depends on the company whether the bonus is negotiable or not. But if it is, having other offers at hand would be great. You can use those offers to negotiate for a higher bonus.
