Hello, I'm going to graduate with a Masters in Healthcare Adminstration this fall. I'm looking for my next career move. I've been managing hospital department four the past 6 years and a practice for 2. I'm also a registered sleep tech for the past 15 years. It's it possible to get into healthcare consulting from here? Thanks

Interested to know others’ thoughts: would you consider the actuarial profession to be recession proof? Do you think there are some tracks that are more protected than others? From where I sit, it’s hard to imagine a layoff of actuaries in my group (health consulting); we have more work than we can handle and are still actively recruiting.

Scored an awesome midlevel role at a remote agency that I negotiated to start in the new year.
I wanted a nice winter break before starting but also wanted to give my bosses plenty of time to find a replacement. I’m happy to stay till the holidays so I can finish up my responsibilities. We’re a small agency and I’m one of two ADs.
I know my leaving will be a shock to my team. Any tips for quitting a job when you really like the people? I have a meeting with my CD scheduled for tomorrow.

How do you all deal with the guilt of leaving a comany/ team? I have been working at Microsoft for 1 year now, and seriously considering moving. I find the code base to be very legacy and I mostly work on obscure bugs that I spend so much time on, mostly due to navigating this large code base and not having much docs to refer to. Hence I find the job slightly unsatisfying, and that I could learn more elsewhere. However, I love the wlb, the team and company culture. The guilt stops my applying.

Just found out that end of the year I will be promoted from analyst directly to VP and since it’s such a large jump I’ll be the lowest paid VP in asset management at only $135k TC. Should I stay it out and wait for TC to align or take the promotion and jump ship bc I will likely get paid more elsewhere given how recruiters/other companies eat up hiring recently promoted ppl from other firms?

Has anyone been admitted to Harvard Business School with a 430 gmat? To be honest, the 430 score was achieved with only a slight amount of studying. I started college later and worked at the same time in government while serving in different positions. First as an intern and now in an elected position as Constable. I also am in an appointed role as a Commissioner for a local board of finance and taxation. There are many more leadership positions that I have been in. Any feedback is appreciated!

Any advice?
