When interviewing for my position as an art director, I was told I would be assigned to a project that felt like it was made for me. I've been hired and the project has been assigned to someone else. I am upset because I only took this job because of that opportunity.

I have the option of switching from a lead UX designer to a principle UX designer in my current company. How will this title change be looked upon by recruiters/hiring managers on LinkedIn or at the next company I apply to? Would the pay bands be higher or lower?

This is my first time posting in here, but I work as an internal Sr Consultant in strategy / contracting at one the major BCBS plans (haven’t updated fishbowl title). Our team has roles open for associate consultants, consultants, principle consultants, and managers. Good W/L balance and opportunity to be involved in diverse work (professional/facility/VBC/pharma/ancillary/etc.). Happy to connect to discuss further give some referrals. Need advice:
I have been in my current role less than a year and got approached by a recruiter for an opportunity that is 35% increase in pay for the same work I am doing. It will be a lateral move.

Two weeks ago I expressed interest to move up to SA level, my director was happy to do it as she is putting out four more roles in her team. Problem is there is a one year clause that says you can’t promote prior to one year. She is working with the HRBP to override it. (Cont’d in comments)

Advice on switching career after 3 years of audit/industry accounting. I switched out of audit after getting my cpa license into an industry role (senior accountant) and realized that I hate it - I hate how repetitive it is and I’m constantly investigating things that are immaterial and don’t really matter to the business in a grand scheme of things.
