Hello I’m new here. I’ve been in the healthcare industry for about 15 years. Caregiver for my brother whom just passed last year. I’m getting back into the work field. I’m not sure if either titles that I have experiences in is enough! Is there any programs that I can get Certifications from? Please help thank you in advance.

Yes looks for a PACE program. Perfect for your experience. It is all inclusive care for seniors. Companies like welbehealth, trinity health PACE, Golden Valley PACE, PACE southwest Michigan, etc. these programs are everywhere.

Thank you so much for this advice.

So sorry to hear about your brother.

You could get a Certified Nurse Aide certificate for your state. There are also travel CNA options. My condolences for the loss of your brother.

I'm currently working in a heritage field trying to figure out the best career pivot and have been working in the survey/data depts for the last 3 years. My knowledge is self taught but I feel like I'm missing out on the basics and to move into something like Data Management my current role it's more about fixing problems and writing procedures (which I enjoy). Any advice on how to start with data management/ training so that I can move into a more standard, better paid career eventually?

3 years ago I asked for a compensation review/raise, went through what felt like a ridiculous 8 MONTH long process of defending why it was warranted, only to be told no. 3 months ago I asked again and it has gone nowhere. I should add that salary bands are kept secret and I have no clue what the range for my position is. There are a decent amount of benefits in my position, the biggest being WLB, which is what has kept me here for so long. But I’m getting frustrated. What would you do?

Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks

I graduated with a degree in Business in 2018. I’m planning to pursue a Masters in Engineering (likely will pair with MBA) and have been taking the required pre-reqs over the last year from community college.

Is there a big difference between MEng and MS degrees? Or about the same?

I started off looking in going into Mechanical Eng but now looking more into Civil & Environmental.

Is anyone here willing to provide insight about job prospects between the two fields?

Or any other advice?

Stuck between 2 offers, which would you choose? Eventually I want to work in ML/AI or blockchain/crypto

Offer 1: Non-profit financial advisor, awesome culture, design process & ethos align with mine, but still beholden to some outdated backend systems. Basically won't be able to innovate for a while

Offer 2: Consultancy focused on spinning up startups in large corp. Seems like cool work but I know very little about the culture/ process. Very sales-y HR but haven't talked to designers yet

The timeframe for the full transition of all work to the vendors is approximately 6 months. This is the second time in 14 months I have had to look for another position due to outsourcing of work. Since I can only work remotely for my company due to location, is it best to resign or to hold out in hopes for a transition to another department?
