Hi- I’m a rising manager and don’t feel much excitement about the promotion. Instead, I’m so anxious to start work everyday. Lack of senior/staff to work on milestone and 1 report within 3 weeks. Work with a SM leaving millions of comments while saying great job!!Hate the pain of conversations questioning actual hours vs budget even after eat hours, improve margin while dealing with millions review comments. I start hate my job but have to stay another busy season. Feel so anxious. Any advice?

I'm not sure of where to go after that, but I doubt I will stick with recruiting or my current firm.

Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I found a new job (huzzah!) and turned in my 2 weeks notice yesterday. But I started feeling crummy last night and went to the doctor for a COVID test today. Lab results already came back positive. So now I feel super guilty about basically calling in sick to my last two weeks of work...should I try and push out my start date to help out current employer? Feel like current supervisor is going to throw a hissy fit.

I have been working in HR for 1 year now, specifically in recruiting. I am currently an in-house recruiter for a company. There is a large turnover for the position I hire for, the candidates are low quality as the position I hire for does not call for many specific skills or hard-to-obtain skills.
What sort of requirements typically need to be met to move into a different part of HR? I will likely have to find another company as the only positions above me in my company are taken by people who are very unlikely to leave in the coming 4-5 years.

I fought all week last week for raises for a few employees who are amazing, important and underpaid. One of these people is actually a team lead. They are training others who are coming in and earning $4k more a year than she currently earns and she’s been with our company for about 2 years!!! I find this extremely unfair. The owners of the company believe these employees should speak up if they want a raise. I think it’s our responsibility to pay our employees fairly. Please leave suggestions🙏
