I interviewed for a different role at AWS, When I spoke with a black recruiter I felt supremely confident I’d succeed as a senior leader, then I spoke with white recruiter and was left feeling like I was not even qualified to work a food server in their cafeteria, despite all my qualifications and achievements. They talk the diversity game, but that message hasn’t reached the actual recruiters. I hope you have a better experience, but I plan to withhold my skills from AWS and to share my talents with other companies.
