Congratulations!
Totally up to you. Most people wait at least 12 weeks. I shared right around that time.
I waited till 6 months (now I’m 7 months). I wanted to get my bonus first, then I wanted to make sure I was considered for projects and during the final staffing calls I told the project lead I was expecting (so before they finalized anything but not after our initial conversation)
Huge congrats!! That’s really exciting.
On timing, I had planned to share at 20 weeks for both pregnancies. First I started showing early so I shared at 17 weeks (right after I told my family).
Second I waited just past 20 weeks as my 20 week anatomy scan was delayed and I wanted to ensure there were no risks before telling boss.
There’s something really special about the time before people know. Once it’s out people treat you a little differently - incredibly kind and accommodating, but with more warmth and affection than you might want at work. People love pregnant people!
