if you can choose: 1. audit with definitely (know firsthand from a close friend) amazing company culture - mid market (overtime not encouraged, if you do need to do overtime you get hourly pay for it or can choose to exchange it as holiday, can potentially do secondment to FDD in the future but not guaranteed in terms of timeline 2. Anyone who renege and get any backlash? I signed an offer with a big 4 for full time and am still interviewing with other companies. ( Was an intern last summer and my offer got pushed out to summer cause my masters is 1.5 years and I graduate in December (In my defense the big 4 refused to let me go to another practice.) Plus pressured by parents to accept something before I graduate.
What is the federal parental leave policy? I’m new to government and having a baby soon. I know we’re given 12 weeks and have to sign an agreement to work 12 weeks after we return but are there other stipulations to a claw back period or how long we had to be at the agency first?

What does your firm do for evening meals if you work late? Most of our offices bring in a meal couple of nights a week but will no reimburse if in town and working late at a client.
Currently on parental leave. As a father I’m so dang thankful my firm has it and I can’t imagine how my immigrant parents manage to raise two kids without leave.
I get interrupted a lot at work now that we are virtual. I don't feel like this happens to everyone else in my team as much, meaning folks tend to let them talk longer. So I've reduced my contribution and talk less. But then others make the same point I'm thinking and would normally have said. So now I just look like a silent non-contributor or someone who gets interrupted a lot. Office/team culture is generally good, respectful and peaceful. How do I change this? What can I do differently?
For folks exiting to FAANG / Product at start ups or really any hot company. How do you go about networking to get the interview? Do you apply then cold email someone you may have an “in”with, or are you picking say 10 companies and then having warm contacts there that you’ll ping when you see a job. I’ve been passively looking for jobs but zero luck, I only want to leave for the right fit. Big 4 here so feel my brand won’t auto get me an interview like mbb/t2
Any good recommended books on how to build a scalable product and team? I'm looking for recommendations for two areas: 1) in general laying the groundwork in a startup to have the tools and especially processes in place to scale, and 2) tactical focus on building a SaaS project. I've been promoted into a management role from Dev roots, so need to learn more PM processes to be an effective manager in day job, plus would like to start building my own SaaS solution.
