New offer from current company to move to a new team and they’re like it’s some big promotion. Current role is key accounts + a territory, 125k base + 31k and 19k additional bonus opportunities (which I’ve been hitting consistently). New role is a pay grade jump technically and just key accounts and supporting another team for some other big accounts. Pay is 158k + 27k bonus. Total comp difference is only 3% raise. I got a 6% raise in the same role last year alone. What would you negotiate?

I’m in talks with management about being a candidate for a new position, Project Manager. This would be a promotion for me; however, a member of my team indicated the company may not want to increase compensation for this role even though I would have more responsibilities. It was even stated that “They may even want to fire people who asked for more money.” I am staggered. Do you advice for me? Should I look elsewhere? Any referrals? Any insight/assistance appreciated.

3 folks that I have hired and trained are being offered a Director position above me. I am so proud of them, but I need advice… When I asked why I was not considered, the only reasons that came up were the following: *1. Less college education 2. My age. I am young. 3. Less experience with Landlords.* I have been with this company for quite a while and my goals have been clear. When I asked what I needed to do over the past 2 years to achieve Director, these 3 issues were not mentioned.

Hi all, need a bit of performance advice - I’m thinking of asking for a new PM, but I’m worried about how that will impact my reputation in the team.

My current PM is nice guy, but I don’t feel like he cares about my development and my goals, and he most certainly doesn’t fight for me in the performance reviews. Our non profit has an important event coming up and we can’t figure out who has admin rights. The last person known to have had it relinquished it and sent an invite to a woman im working with now but she doesn’t have admin rights and can’t find the invite message/email. We aren’t sure how to proceed!

I'm a successful Manager and make a good living. I support my family of 4 since my husband is a house husband and has been for the past 9 years since my first child was born. Now my kids are 9 and 7 and I feel like I don't make enough money. I'd like my husband to go back to work but he has no interest. He loves being home for the kids and he cooks, cleans, does the yard work, and does ALL handy-man tasks around the house. Am I being selfish?
