We do happy hours on Friday every other week and it definitely helps all of us unwind and get to know each other a bit outside the context of work. We stop working a little early to start it so I think it gives everyone something to look forward to.

I like anything that creates a more casual environment while still having a focus. Beer and code is always a good one.

Happy hours, virtual coffee, in-person meetups when we are all in the same area

My company is pretty small and fun and I honestly get a kick out of our meme and puppies-themed slack channels more than anything lol

I had my final interview with a partner two weeks ago and when I followed up with the recruiter twice, I got this feedback "I have not yet received an outcome or feedback following your most recent interview. As soon as I have an update I will get in touch as soon as possible." How does recruitment in the big 4 work? I am not sure why the partner hasn't sent feedback to the recruiter.

Hi ladies, I need some advice on how to navigate/build a relationship with my fiance's family. Some of his siblings and family members are very standoffish and distant. For background, we are same race different culture. I'm very open and I've learned a lot from my fiance over the years. However, I believe his family still sees me as an outsider and they don't invite me to certain things. At times, it feels isolating and it makes me feel unwelcomed. They're also supposed to be in my wedding.

I really don’t think there’s a chance that the SCOTUS overturns Roe. I would hope this affirming decision further slams the door on states trying to legislate what happens in a doctor’s office between a pregnant woman and her doctor. There’s always a chance this swings the other way, but this SCOTUS so far has a non partisan approach, regardless of what the media has portrayed. The panic seems unwarranted.
