Hello Moms, Has anyone fully recovered from post natal SPD/PGP(pelvic girdle pain). What worked to resolve it? How did you manage the pain with caring for your child?

Physio helped and I used a wrap after baby was born for a while to feel more "held together".

A lot of it is behavior as well. Don't get in or out of a car (ha! Where you going in quarantine? ;)) one leg at time, move both legs together, and so on.

PT helped. As did a hip girdle. Time helps most, though. I thought I was super broken and the PT also normalized to the timeline to recover. I dropped the weight, so I thought I was recovered. So wrong. I needed to take it easy for longer. Once I did, I actually accelerated healing.

Good luck and stay kind to yourself!

Thanks to all who offered advice on retirement and FMLA. I think I will just retire after my sick days are used up. I'm 58, over 28 years teaching. Pension is good. I'm just worried about district not accepting Anxiety as medical reason. Can they fight me. Will a simple note from Dr or therapist explaining I am seeing therapist for anxiety suffice?

Tips for not crying when you’re asking for leave? I’m so stressed and overwhelmed with work and the CPA exam and I want to take time off to just put all my energy into the exam and be done with it. I want a month and a half to finish it up and then have a week or two to decompress before I come back. But anytime I wanna talk about it, the stress and nerves overwhelm me and my eyes start welling up. Idk how to control it.

Have any of you ladies managed to get over an ex after being hung up on them for years? My ex and I broke up two years ago but I still think about him every day. We live in different countries and he’s now married - I’ve tried multiple therapists, changing cities, traveling loads, throwing myself into work, dating, self help books, you name it. While the pain has become much more bearable, it’s never gone away. Will it ever?

This is a story of my friend i met a month back. He is in mid 30’s. According to him, Marriage is becoming so difficult these days. He had multiple meetings via matrimonial sites. Salary, big home, job profile, joint vs nuclear family, homely vs career oriented, no cooking like ever, NRI demand, god knows how many more reasons of mismatch he faced.
He said he had a relationship earlier which didn’t worked out. He was literally emotional and so misses her now. She got married couple of years back

Hello Fishes, its really strange to ask but I have no option left.
I have almost 2 years of gap in my career due to medical issues, but not its recovered and I am trying to rejoin again. I applied to so many places but has been seeing only rejections either due to gap and either due to my over qualification.
I am truly tired of applying and waiting for their call back and reverts, Its like getting into depression slowly slowly.
Is their any place where I can get hired soon. Please help me.

I visited a friends that has a 1 year old baby. She asked me if I wanted to get a dog, and then asked me if I wanted to get a plant 😂. She said it was a good way to start carrying for something else and get experience for the future. I think this is hillarious I don’t see how a dog or a plant will fulfill my life. 😂

5 weeks ago I told my boss we need to start working on a “we’re open again” spot. She basically called me blind for not seeing that the Covid crisis was nowhere near finished and then accused me of not having enough work to do. This morning at 6 am she texted me - “Need you to kick off a ‘we’re open again’ spot with the agency. Tell them they have 1.5 weeks to stand it up.”

first time therapy question:

I’m signing forms now as a first time therapy-goer and it says that my therapist would *have* to make a diagnosis for insurance purposes. Does this mean they have to find something to say I have? Do they tell you and is it something that sticks with you?

I really just want to go to have a third party to talk to and gain more insight on myself. Just wanted to hear any opinions before signing. Thanks in advance 🙏

I’m looking to move my mom locally to take care of her in just over a year. She wants to live alone so I’m trying to figure out best options. So far im leaning towards buying her a small place so I don’t have to sink money into renting her a place and can at least get some equity. But would love perspective from others about best financial options for someone in my position

I am not sure what to do. My company just had another round of massive layoffs. So far my job was spared. I do got a job offer from a different company but the salary is way lower than what I have now (20,000$ less). Should I choose for financially stability but with a lower salary, or take the risk, keep the higher salary, but have a high chance to loose it as the company isn’t doing great.
