Has anyone successfully negotiated for a better maternity leave package than what your company currently offers?
Sitting in the window seat and there's a barking dog behind me and a baby beside me. I'm surrounded, help! #mondays
Did you move into an internal role after having a baby? Do you think it still makes sense during wfh/covid situation?
How do you deal with the guilt from income inequality? Me making $150k vs a Partner making $1M is a steep difference, but what feels more painful is me vs someone making $30k and supporting a family. I almost cried today listening to the janitor in my building talk to me about how he’s trying to send his kid to school 😭
My coworker’s father is a Director at our firm. I’ve noticed that he is always given more challenging work and growth opportunities. Senior folk go out of their way to ensure that his needs..
I'm planning to switch firms about two weeks after my baby is born. Will I get parental leave benefits in my new firm? In other words, in order for someone to get parental leave benefits must...
First time pregnant here. I have no clue what to expect after delivery. My husband and I decided to not ask help from our parents as they live in another country and don’t want them to catch covid while travelling. So, just want to understand what would be the recovery time after delivery? How long will it take approximately, before I can cook a meal again? Just want to get an idea before saying no to our parents.
Been seeing so many posts on generations- i mean millennials eat avocados coz thats all they can afford, GenXers have disappointed both pessimists and optimists, Baby boomers fucked it up for everyone
Hey moms, I’m 33weeks pregnant, just entering 34 and way too excited to meet my little one. I’ve nested the crap out of the past few weeks and feel like I’ve gotten everything I need, put everything away, set up the nursery, (includes watching all YouTube nesting videos there ever were) etc etc. I’m out of things to do and work is slow-hence bored out of my mind. Any tips or recommendations on how I can kill the last month or so?
Is it normal for you to feel the baby kick you in the butt? I have an anterior placenta and don’t feel the kicks as much in the front/belly. It’s more literally in the back!
My mother-in-law is in US with green card and has been in India past 5 months. She is coming back next week but has medical needs that would require her to stay longer (overall more than 9+ months).
Hello 🐠! Need advice: my mother’s bank says her taxes cleared. The check for the amount she owes was processed. We just received a note that the taxes were not paid. She used an accountant because it was her first time filing (my dad would do the taxes). Anyone been in this situation before?
My District decided to initiate a “no zero policy” starting now. I was informed by administration that when a student does not turn in their work, I still have to give the student a fifty percent even though that student didn’t earn it. I teach sixth graders and I am not sure how I feel about this. Any words of advice?
do you need to tell your boss in advance if you're considering a position at a different agency within the same parent agency?
Deloitte Moms, I just found out I’m pregnant with my first! Super excited! I have a question about the firm maternity leave policy. Per my knowledge, our maternity leave is 4 months. However, I’ve seen coworkers who went on leave for up to 6 months. How do they manage to do that? Also, based on your experience, when’s the optimal time to tell employer/ coworkers about your pregnancy?
Off on maternity leave and l will just go ahead and admit this... it is SO much harder than being at work. I am guilty of wrongfully judging stay at home moms, don’t know how they do this full time.
KPMG Global (MC team) vs PwC SDC (MC US advisory) Which has better.. Work Culture? Work life balance? Growth?
Does the Scrum Master, Product Owner certification add any advantage while job hunting? it seems to be the most common certification on Linkedin.
Project Manager offer at Uber vs. Tech Analyst role at McK Solutions? (Interviewing). Hold out for McK? Or don’t take the risk?
I’ve been thinking about divorcing my husband on and off for years but always felt that it was my inability to commit. He makes me laugh and is a great husband. COVID delayed making the decision as we are forced to stay at home. Last week he went to see his family and I was alone at home. Did not miss him a bit and was so happy being alone. We also at this point have almost zero intimacy. Should I get divorced? What should I do to ensure custody of our dog? Don’t know what to do!
To people who hook up with coworkers that they have to see every day: Why? Are you not afraid of the professional consequences? Or is your office pretty lax about this kind of thing?
Anyone move from management / technology consulting to a strategy consulting firm / role? Would you recommend the move? For context I have 1 YOE

What's your age and how much do you have in your 401k!? 25 and 40k. Started contributing max this year.
Will we be losing out on our reward nights at SPG come August ? As in the rewards nights accumulated every 50 nights ..
Senior 3 at EY, banked my bonus and expecting promo in October (so $30k on the table in bonuses to stay). Realizing that I'd like to explore accounting advisory though (either FAAS at EY or something at another B4 or other smaller firm (e.g., CBIZ?)). Any recommendations on timing of exploring this internally (should I float something up and investigate at EY this spring? will it take a full year to transfer if accepted? Am I kind of screwed by being a senior 3 and should've done this earlier?)
I left B4 as a senior and went to industry. Hated it and decided to take a job at top-10 firm after 2 years. The pay is on par with my industry job and the hours are a bit better than B4, but I’m thinking about jumping back to original firm or maybe a different B4. Any one else have a similar path? I hate how this will look on my resume and maybe feel a little like the grass is greener, but I think I have some good reasons.
Can you get a bump in title moving between consulting firms if you are up for promotion and also have a lot of prior industry experience? Or do they try to slot you at the same level? Thanks
What salary (base and benefits) can you expect if you leave one of the Big 4 after 2 years as a consultant? (No MBA, but a science PhD)
