Something off their waitlist if they have one
Books - especially touch and feel board books
Zoo membership (or kids museum) if they don’t have one
Fwiw kids this young don’t understand monetary values so don’t get hung up on having to spend a certain amount.
They probably don’t want any more crap in their house. (Crap is what I used to refer to pretty much everything in my house at this point that I would trip over LOL). Get mom a gift certificate to a nail salon or something like that. It will be greatly appreciated :-)
Gift card to someplace useful - don’t know what country you’re in but something like Target. Somewhere that has kids / baby stuff but also stuff for adults.
Wood puzzles and board books are my go-tos, maybe an experience type gifts like zoo or aquarium
Lovevery box, if they don’t have them already.
Ask their mom. For example, I'm living in fear of someone gifting me a LoveEvery subscription because I hate extra toys around the house for kids this young, but it's clearly loved by many other moms on this forum. Every family is different so present a few options (including one gift card or membership or non-thing) and get their input.
