I have over 12 years in B2B sales/sales management experience along with a graduate degree. Producers: myself and other freelance editor friends have a question we’re struggling with. Why do people so often reach out and ask us for holds with no information what the project is? A lot of us won’t give 1st holds without making sure it’s something we are interested in so this seems like a lose-lose for all of us. I do understand if there’s an NDA situation involved but often I get literally no details and am just told things like ‘we have a project coming up’. Any insight? Thank you!

This is a potentially dumb question but when you are allocated a certain round of revisions does the last/final version count in that number?
For example, we have four rounds budgeted for an animation, if we provide feedback on R3 are we able to give feedback on the next round as well or do the “four rounds” refer to the four delivered videos?

I’m trying to help a theatre friend, transition into an ad agency production department. I’m an AD myself (so no production expert) but his experience and skills seem highly transferable. He’s a costume designer by trade, with over 10 years experience.

Any advice on how to help him make the career pivot? Or anyone out there looking to hire unconventional but highly experienced candidates at this time?
