Hi you need not get them transferred into Indian broker firms, after leaving SAP you can choose to keep your shares in the same equate plus account, but you need to pay some extra brokerage fees (as they need to maintain your personal account)
Thanks for replying, do you know how much needs to be paid....it will be in Euros, so will be on costlier sider for us....So our returns would drag down...maybe this is the reason people just sell before leaving...
IMO its better to sell them and invest the money in a high growth Indian stock. Thats what I did atleast. Because SAP is never going to become a high growth stock
Reason being SAP is already a huge company which has grown a lot so growth potential is obviously less for such companies. Now if you look at Amazon or Microsoft they are also huge companies but the level of innovation they do or the multiple businesses they are handling, SAP is way behind and the speed is with which they are catching up doesn’t look great. So unless a new leader comes along who brings revolution in company’s trajectory, growth seems difficult.
