Hello. Not a mom but a friend just had a baby and I would like to get her and the baby girl a gift. I picked out clothes for the baby and a lipstick for my friend so she can pamper herself and feel good when she's going out to work again. I am FAR from being a mom myself so hoping for inputs as to whether moms here think this is an ok gift. Also is $50 for baby clothes a good range?

Just had my 2nd baby after starting a new job. Was denied FMLA bc it hasn’t been a full yr. How nervous should I be about lay offs since I don’t have equity w/the company? PPD during a pandemic sucks.

I feel momentarily defeated. I wish my parents were more encouraging. I’m in the process of buying my first home, which feels overwhelming and incredibly lonely as I’m going through this without their guidance or support. I felt so hopeful and excited to share with them that I was preapproved by a lender (an important step). My mother seemed annoyed and my father immediately began rattling off every possible thing that can go wrong. He critiqued the home, the cost, down payment, you name it.

Not 12 weeks pregnant yet, but I know my work is getting affected because of the exhaustion I’m not able to give it my 100%. Should I hold off til 12 weeks to bring it up to engagement team while on busy season? Or get out now so they can get another resource?

Had a mommy breakdown. In-laws come over every Sunday and constantly make comments during/resist my 10 month olds bedtime. Hes a sleep champ, but the deviation from his schedule by 10-15 mins makes it harder for him to fall asleep. First off, let me say that I’m not American, pretend to be or understand being American. I’d like to know why is healthcare such a big deal? I understand it is important but why is it a big of a deal as it is? It’s ranked above so many other things in terms of importance.
