Hello, patient services representative here. I had moved hospital patient registration to the clinic so I can get benefits. I took a $6 dollar pay cut although I do work from home. I’m pretty knowledgeable on insurance and have a good understanding of how things work. I get paid about $21/hr and it’s just not enough money. I making ends meet working 80 hours a week. Im currently going to school full time and would like some input on what I should do.

B.T systems (wfo- 26 LPA)
C.Barclays (wfo -27 includes 5lpa variable)
D.JPMorgan (Banglore location, may get an offer)

I think Sapient has budget limitations that won't go beyond avg package.
Others may increase their offer till 30lpa

Happy Resurrection Sunday. I have RA & Fibromyalgia. It’s really hard balancing working from home & a family (married w/ 3 kids). I’m having issues with flares. I feel as though it is affecting my relationship with my family more than it is affecting my work. What city do you practice in? How many years of experience? Current salary? What setting do you practice in? What are the differences in pay between different settings in your area (ie. outpatient ortho versus home care).
Personally I practice out patient ortho in Rochester, NY making $65,000 annually with a good benefit package. 6 years of exp. And not entirely sure how much more I could make in home care/other settings.

My spouse and I recently adopted an older shelter dog (Carlotta). Some of the other MDs at my hospital were putting together a "Dr. and Dog" social event, so I took Carlotta. The amount of jabs I got for bringing a shelter "mutt" (with typical elderly dog health ailments) instead of purchasing an expensive designer dog like everyone else was astounding. There are many reasons why the current atmosphere for clinicians is a total shit show. What irks me the most is when companies say they treat everyone like “family” but do things like micromanage you or treat you like crap. Currently work for Legacy as a DPT and when my contract is up in a couple of months I’m out of there! Stay away from this company.

Long story short, I have a bachelors in Public Health/Health Science, and no idea what to do with it. I currently am contracted with a disabilities agency in the vocational services side of things, working for $20/hr with no benefits. I realize this is a very low paying job, but I do not know the extent of the career options with the degree I have. I’d like to ask, what would be the highest paying/most rewarding career options for me?
