I've been going through a rough time personally and have severe depression. But given we're still early in the year, and I think also the keener in me, I'm somehow hesitant to take time off to give myself a mental health break because what would 1-2 days off really do?

I feel I'm taking too much load about my work and my manager is pushing every second admin task to me. I'm not a person who easily says no but taking up admin work alone with my demanding client work is killing my mental health, I'm looking for some moral support from anyone here on how can I sustain my mental health

The healthcare system here is f*cked up on so many different levels.

Currently a PwC senior associate in insurance doing audit. Things are getting very stale. I’ve debated an internal switch to advisory or seeking an external move. I’ve received a much higher paying position at the Siegfried Group, but I’m unsure if that’s the right move for me based on things I’ve read. The pay plus bonus is substantially more than current Big Four senior salary, but I don’t want to just chase money.

Is anyone here an underwriter for Intact Insurance in Canada?
Please share your experience with the company. Positives and negatives about work environment, management, work life balance, etc.
Currently debating if I should accept an offer from Intact or a higher paying position at another company.

Hello, does anyone work as an auto underwriter for insurance? I recently got accepted for an internal job position and was offered $50k. I’m currently a claim processor making $20/hour so the offer is more than what i’m making but is low in comparison to the average salary for an auto underwriter in AZ (which is around $58k). I believe because the company knows how much i’m making they lowballed me. Any tips on how to navigate the salary negotiation and can u share ur salary ?

I have two offers : a) IB first year analyst at a BB firm 50k base; b) 70k consultant role at a life science consultancy - is it stupid to go for the IB ? For reference, the 20K extra translates into 1K after tax monthly income
