Got as far as an offer letter for a patient experience position but their offer is $10 lower than what I currently make. What can I use as leverage for negotiations? What can I include in a benefits package to make the lower wage worth my while?

Apologizes if this is a dumb question: but do companies keep the same pay for every employee regardless of location?

For example: paying someone a base of 80k in Georgia vs paying someone 80k in California

or do they make exceptions when it comes to base salary on location?

Hi everyone, I’m a sixth year associate with a potential offer to go in house at a subsidiary tech company whose parent company is one of the largest tech companies in the world. I want to be prepared to negotiate my salary and I was wondering if anyone has advice. I make $130k now at a boutique firm specializing in business and chapter 11 bankruptcies. I want to ask for $160k because based on my market research, that seems to be reasonable. Does this sound like too much or too little?
