So I am an online student at a small university that the app did not even recognize. I am a junior in my degree that is finance and accounting. Should finish up next year. I have been working blue collar jobs since my baby was born and got married. I am now 24. Obviously I am at a disadvantage with networking and doing full-time internships. My question is: how can I network and gain contacts in the white collar world, given that nobody in my family is white collar and work 50+hr?

Any ADs make the switch to copywriter? I can write pretty decently, I love coming up with ideas/concepting and I just don’t have the knack or love for sitting on a computer and editing comps or designing some stupid IG post anymore.

Book recommendations on leadership, career development, etc?

Wrapping up an MBA this semester. I expect to finish with a 4.0 if that matters. Been self employed running a small business for the past 2.5 years, but the industry is going to be struggling for a while. I can starve it out, but I’m also revisiting an interest in consulting that I didn’t pursue many years ago. I feel a bit off the typical path. International vs. PCS internal and Exit Opportunities. — I’m a S2 in ATL working in PCS and in international/crossborder for private clients. I need some guidance determining whether I would be better off staying in PCS or declaring a specialty in int’l/crossborder work. I don’t see myself in B4 forever, and it seems the int’l work would limit exit opps in the future. However, PCS exit opps aren’t appealing to me either: family office or wealth management. — any help or insight is appreciated.

The last year and a half, I have been the head of marketing for a VC backed company with $90M annual revenue. I was contacted by a recruiter for a CMO role for a $80M VC backed company.

A question a friend asked me left me thinking. The question was: am I ready for the next level?

I’m 25/F, recently came out to my mother as gay and she was not receptive. I decided to send a message to my father and sisters to tell them next, and got crickets. I have been offered a position in-house at a $500M-$1B company, mid-sized city LCOL, 10 YOE in private practice. They offered me $120k, w opp for undefined discretionary bonus. No paid parental leave or 401(k) match & only 1 week PTO in first year (but claim they have discretion for more). Is there any way to salvage this? Salary guides suggest TC should be around $200-215k. I want to get my foot in the door but this seems crazy low.

Struggling with imposter syndrome here. Over the past five years at my employer I went from independent contributor as a developer to a more of a Leadership position. what I’m finding though is that I don’t get nearly the kudos or mentions that I used to as an IC. What title would you give a designer who's primary focus is to help the team with crafting stories + presentation decks for our team to win work. ----They are being hired with the intention of having great visual design skills and communication skills. They should be able to help write the content / set the story for the overall deck.
