Hello so I recently had a situation. I worked at an office for 10 years. I asked the supervisor for help and she has a tantrum. Starts yelling, what do u want? Ripping up my schedules for the next day. After all the commotion I go to her office to talk to her and she starts throwing away her lunch, mind you it 4 pm and saying I guess I get no lunch today, what can I do for you? What would you have done?

Today no one came into our restaurant and my boss started crying. Do I... comfort them? Leave them be?

People in my team they don't come with me for breaks. (They blame the timings are different since they sit in crits but i don't think so because they have their own group of friends to go with)

Secondly, when my team members see me in cafeteria we expect they'll sit with us but people here are being rude they directly go and sit with their friends they don't call you to join. ( atleast they could have said they are accompanied)

Semi-recent lateral is super toxic- has forced out two long time support staff, aggressively takes credit for others’ work, and is always finding ways to throw people under the bus. How do younger and mid levels protect themselves without getting burned? Should someone express concerns to partners, or is it just a glaring red flag that the firm has kept someone like that around? How do I handle a situation where a supervisor questions comes off as she sees me as stupid and is belittling me? In the beginning of week, I was scheduled spilt between her client and another, and she felt I was responsible to tell her. We all have access to the schedule. When on this other client, she wanted to do call. I responded I was at a client, and she was upset and believed I should respond her questions concerning her job. I was in a conversation with a client at the time.

Hi! In the process of switching from South FloRida to PA again to work at a hospital but making the same money? The switch would open me to be closer to family for support and the have a nursing prog,since the benefits are attractive and I’m looking forward to the future growth. The thing is they claim i only have experience of 7 years and offering me less than what I make now. I wanna go, but any suggestions on this negotiation cause I would still need to pay for a place to live and expenses.

I have become so sad and lost nd depressed over the job search. I don't even have strength to shower, or take care of myself anymore. 30 yr disabled nurse non-one wants to hire anymore. Im literally going out of my mind. All I wanted was a remote job and to return back to the workforce. I even got a higher degree in nursing last year. There is no place for me in this world anymore.

Due to a recent company-wide increase and additional pay for bilingual direct reports I am only making a dollar and change above them as their supervisor. I was hired into this position in March, having been the first employee in this department. I really tried to get them to budge on salary, they did not, but shortly after accepting they gave the whole company a dollar raise.

With all the shortages of staffing and difficulty keeping people, why don't companies offer retention bonuses? Sure, there are a lot of sign on bonuses, but why not bonuses for the people that stick around?

About to post a job w/ HC software co (~550 employees). Need someone who can manage relationships w/ cons/analyst firms that advise health plans on pop health software / serve as SI's, & relationships with Big Tech (MSFT, Oracle, etc). Thinking this could be a good lower stress role for Big 5 manager who wants to get off the rat race.
