Is high turnover expected for startups or are these just red flags in general? The company I'm interviewing with said their Front End Dev "left them" and one of the items on the job description says verbatim "anything else required by manager". The salary range they gave was "anywhere between 70k and 125k". Out of desperation I named a range in the middle of that. Am I screwed? Should I run away?

Is it worth asking for a rec letter to send as an “update” even though the decision is so soon? Guessing the answer would be “won’t hurt” but I was also planning on leveraging this as an opportunity for a potential re-application to show “improvement”

I have received positive feedback on my interview but the job says "Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future". I will require sponsorship. Does that mean Deloitte will now be able to hire me? Or will it just delay the hiring process? What was your timeliness if you were in the same boat with deloitte?

I'm a solo bringing in Associate to become partner. Associate has been compensated with a base salary, plus 1/3 of earnings for business he brings in. Firm expenses are around 55-60% of gross revenue. He brings in around 30% of revenue. How best can I bring him in, and at what percentage to be fair? Was thinking 20%, with 5% incremental increases as his business grows hopefully to greater than 30% of total revenue. Thoughts?

I think leadership in my company is just gearing up to sell:
1. When I try to refactor, organize, or address tech debt in the code, I get heavy pushback with no real justification (they just say “keep it simple”) and no stated initiatives to fix said debt. Thanks, I guess I’m just an impetuous child.
2. Marketing wants “more logos” to attract a 2nd round of investment.
3. No long-term vision for our “product.”
4. Way more personnel,no innovation
