Anyone in need of a referral?
I have researched and understand GPS vs Commercial at Deloitte. If I start in GPS as an Analyst, is it possible and if so how hard is it to switch to Commercial? If hard what should I do and when? Does GPS limit exit opps such as industry, b school acceptance, or a career in commercial consulting? I am excited about GPS but don’t want to commit without experience in both early in my career. Any advice is appreciated and thanks!Deloitte

You should be able to negotiate off those aspects; I know plenty of people who have done so successfully. Your compensation should consider everything you bring to the table, merit, skills, and certifications included.
I think you should absolutely negotiate. You said it best, you got the job based on those things, so your salary should reflect that. I don't think that's asking for too much, and it's a good attitude to have. Remind them of your value and start the process, you deserve what you're worth!
Negotiate even if you think you’re getting a fair wage!
Always negotiate. This is my number one rule. You can always ask for more.
I did and they budged a little. Thanks for the reply!
