Hello, what benefits do you think are most beneficial to employees excluding pay, health and education.
has anyone heard of panoramic health? applying for a job there and I just want to know what the work culture there is like.
Today is my first day of work in a long time without taking an Adderall. I feel tired, empty, and unmotivated. Has anyone had success with kicking this habit? I have a prescription and I am on a very low dose, but I know that I’m dependent on it, and that it impacts my health and relationships negatively. What’s it like before and after?
Should you max out retirement accounts (401k/Roth) first each year before investing into a brokerage account(VOO ETF, for example). I like the idea of ETFs because they pay dividends and can withdrawal at any point. I am 24 btw. Thoughts?
Hello! I have 9 years total of healthcare experience and 5 years of that I was a Residential supervisor for a brain injury rehabilitation. I don’t have a degree only college credits I’m trying to obtain a Psychology degree. I’ve been applying to countless jobs on Indeed and barely get an call backs for an interview. I’d say out of the 50 jobs I applied for I only got 4 interviews. Is anyone else extremely frustrated with being out of work? :(
Had a hard convo with my SO about how I am selling myself short in my career, and need advice. I am 22, recent grad with a B.A in Digital Comm, and have worked in marketing/tech already for 2 years to fund my degree. I am hitting 1 yr with my current company, and want off contract and WAY better pay, maybe even a pivot into health-tech or sales. But, I am also comfy where I am, and scared to make a new move all of a sudden. Has anyone taken a career leap this young before and succeeded?
Advice please: I currently make $80k at a small firm in SoCal. I’ve been incredibly overwhelmed by my caseload and hands-off approach by my boss given that I’m still a “baby attorney.” Had an interview today with another firm that offers more money, lower billable req (below my current 2100+), will ease me into a caseload rather than just throw me into one (I walked into a 20+ caseload on day 0), and will be more hands on. Benefits are the same but higher pay (cont.)
Hello from San Diego,
Recently separated from the Navy after 10+ years as a hospital corpsman. I have my degree in healthcare administration. I have years of leadership experience, leading teams, managing clinics etc. Having a hard time finding a job. Is anyone hiring or know of someone?
Early 30s with $300k invested in the market (including $165k of 401k/IRA) for a net worth of $381k. I try to save at least $4k/month. Am I behind in terms of net worth? Too much $ in market? FIRE!
Does anyone have leads for a recent MPH Epidemiology grad with 0-2 YOE to get into consultant roles in Healthcare/life sciences?
Second question: what sort of work experiences are companies like flatiron and komodo health looking for to work in RWE/heor? I'm not sure how to leverage Epidemiology to get into that space :(
Has anyone successfully negotiated to be exempt from the 1 year of service before you’re eligible for maternity leave policy?
Does anyone have any insight on Mitre’s Health Care Delivery and Operations Management Group?
I’m interested in hiring a professional/career coach privy to Healthcare Administration. I am in a big organization, however, I’m in a satellite office where I feel like I’m on an island from my supervisor colleagues. I’m looking to level up and trying to research for the best fit. Thanks in advance.
At what point does an unpaid bill impact your credit score?
I am in process of challenging an urgent care charge and bouncing between their billing team and insurance. However, just got notified by the Urgent care they will soon be escalating my case to Collections?
Anyone have any recs on learning material for Employee Benefits & Executive Comp side of M&A?
I’m fairly new to the FIRE movement. When calculating your percent of savings, do you use your take home pay amount net of all deductions? For example, I contribute about 20% of my paycheck to my 401K each pay period, so I’m not sure if I’m suppose to be including this retirement balance in the calculation. I won’t be able to pull from the account if I retire early as there are penalties fees.

Recently graduated with my bachelors in healthcare administration and management. Also have an associate’s degree in occupational therapy assistant. 5 years of rehab director experience. I’d like to get out of the therapy world. Any suggestions on what to look for that’s comparable salary wise?
I recently had a discussion with Morgan Stanley HR. They are matching the offer that i have currently, but were not willing to discuss the variable and benefit parts. They said that, they can only discuss this after the offer letter has been rolled out.
Does anybody know what is the variable range for an associate and what are the benefits offered? Maybe there is a document with list of all benefits? This will help me in taking my decision faster.
Thanks in advance.
I usually don’t celebrate my birthday, but I’m turning 40😅 and feel like I need to do something by inviting people I know. I think it will be a small group, maybe 10 at most. I’m thinking I’d like to do a nice dinner, but don’t want it to be expensive for people. So I’m leaning towards a happy hour on Friday, maybe get some appetizers for the group and then everyone pays for their drinks. Do you girls think it is a good option for the group? What’s the “etiquette” for this sort of celebration?
I got offer from Deloitte with 12lakhs fixed+10% variable pay,now I got other counter offer as 14 fixed

Hi all! Prepping for the SHRM-CP exam in two weeks. I’ve taken a course through SHRM, and worked through the Learning System and books. Any tips for the actual exam? 😊
Does anyone need a hr coordinator, or entry level talent acquisitions coordinator that is 100 remote? Remote jobs are extremely competitive and when I find job posts on LinkedIn there are already over 100 applicants. Very competitive!I am open minded about salary,I have so much interest in expanding my skills. I have about a year of recruiting in the staffing industry and 6 months as an hr assistant for a corporate/manufacturing company. MA in Hr and will be testing for phr in July. Thank you
PHR vs SHRM vs AIRS? Which one should I pursue?
Attention HR professionals at medical device/pharma companies: will those workers who regularly visit hospitals to service equipment, give clinical instructions on product, and sell, be eligible for vaccines any time soon? I’m getting conflicting info on where these workers fall in the vaccine hierarchy, and of course every state’s rollout is different.
People management question! I have a young direct report who has a hard time reprioritizing or multitasking. Short of doing it for them or spoon feeding, any suggestions on resources, exercises or strategies that could help them learn to do this better?? (I also think it is stressful for them!)
Ex: has task 1 due Friday EOD and task 2 due Monday. Task 2 shifts and is needed Friday morning, and the report’s reaction is to stress and try to finish task 1 by Thursday in order to start on task 2.
I've been in PeopleOps (mostly focused on TA Ops) for over 9 years now. I've somehow gotten by without a degree in HR or a certification, but would like to get some more education to continue to advance my career. What are your thoughts on PHR vs SPHR vs SHRM for someone with my years of experience and current role as a manager?
Hey guys. So I just got an offer letter for amazon HRBP1 which is a L4 position and im getting offered 60,640. Is that consider low for a BP?
Know someone earlier in their HR career that’s looking to get certified. It’s been a while since I originally took the exams and have just recertified since. Which is more valuable or preferred these days…PHR or SHRM-CP?
So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?
For those of you who are certified (SHRM or PHR), what was your biggest takeaway from getting your certification? How has this helped you today in your HR career?
Hi I’m looking to make a career change. I’m looking for HR Program/Project Manager roles. I have 8+ years of experience in full cycle HR and project management.
In my Current role I’ve developed and managed two large training programs, one of which was awarded a $1.4M grant, and both have been a great success.
Does anyone have any remote leads they’d be open to referring? My background involves government and healthcare and I’m proficient in JIRA and am open to other industries. Thanks!
Does anyone who work at Amazon know how much the salary range is for an HRBP II role?
For sure flexibility. There’s no going back for most people.
Flexibility and work/life balance are huge. And this isn’t a benefit, but company culture and a sense of belonging is just as, if not more, important than all of those.
This article was great to read. Thank you for sharing this.
Pto. Or just time off in general
Time off options that match the level of the role. Not something where you get 3 days a year and nothing rolls over.
-Housing allowance (based in job level eligibility perhaps)
-Recognition tied to monetary rewards
-Work from anywhere in the world for x no. of days min being 1 month max being 3, 6 or 12 month after completing x no. of months or year/s at the company
-Discount card offering variety of social/welfare discounts (restaurants/hotels/groceries/fitness/beauty/automotive etc)
-Annual airline ticket allowance (capped either at country or region or worldwide level) either for employee only or for employee and x no.of dependants.
-Wellness or health programs or employee assistance program for employee and their eligible dependants
- Access to social clubs for extra-curricular activities (sports mainly)
- paid volunteer days or volunteer days off encouraging employees to contribute and give back into the community or planet earth.
- Career development programs - career paths, coaching, mentorship
I can help brainstorm with you if your looking for more context on above. Drop a DM
What does everyone mean flexibility?
Remote work, flexible schedule if there’s a kid’s program in the middle of the day, so they don’t need to take PTO, but can work after bedtime to make up that hour or two. No micro managing the schedule of the employee. For me, it’s not how many hours I put in, it’s the quality of work and getting it all done
Work life balance/flexibility is important. I took a new position and interviewed with the VP of HR in Colorado. I report to the CEO in a different state. During my interview with the VP we discussed work life balance and a hybrid schedule. This was exactly what I was looking for when the office is 50 minutes from my home and I have active teens, once I started the story changed it’s in the office 5 days a week. I’m currently looking for a new role. The current CEO is very old school and will never adjust to a hybrid schedule. He doesn’t like when employees take vacation during the summer months (busy season). I wouldn’t have left my previous role knowing there was no work life balance./flexibility. I see positions posted as onsite then a few weeks later posted as hybrid. This may be a thing to get employees in the door.
That’s shady af!! Report those job postings to LinkedIn
Different benefits appeal to people at different times in their lives. For some they want more paid time off like personal days or parental leave. Others want higher pay and lower contributions to medical benefits. Older employees may value higher 401(k) contributions, more PTO and things like bereavement leave.
401k contribution, personal time
Work life balance that’s not only promised but also delivered, flexibility (schedule and breaks), PTO/vacation, sick days/mental health days
PTO/vacation - hard to believe most companies only provide a standard of 3 weeks (in Canada)
401K match, without a doubt, and unlimited PTO
Flexibility, work life balance, support,
I'd love to get more money dince I have use fir parental leave, care giver benefits, mental health programs
