What should I do if an extended family member is asking me for help with an area of tax that I am not familiar with (foreign life insurance)? Try to research for them or tell them to ask a tax lawyer?

Feeling de-motivated as a consultant in healthcare. Doesn’t feel like a lot of the work I do actually helps patients or make anyone’s life better, which was the whole draw when I started 5+ years ago. I also sometimes feel stifled bc healthcare doesn’t have the $ and growth opps that I see my peers that work in other industries. Anyone ever feel this way?

I’ve been working in employee benefits in a small brokerage firm on a book of business of over 400 clients, I’m the only account manager. We’ve had 100% employer retention since I’ve been here. I am a high performer, but not sure I’m valued much at all . I want to reach the top and become partner in my career ; this is why I went to work for a small firm. My boss favors others when I do the most work!!

My company (a renewable energy developer) is being acquired by a much larger energy company in a platform deal. I'm currently part of a 3 person legal team, with each attorney supporting different parts of the business, and having different areas of expertise. Anyone have any insight into the impact/fallout of these types of deals on the acquired company's legal department? I'm being told everything will be the same (but with better benefits), but who knows!

And while I'm valued, I don't see a return on my investments: personal time, my heart (I'm all in) and professional development. I get rewarded with small spot bonuses sometimes, but not a commission. So do I try to pivot to a real bus dev position? I feel confident I could. Anyone seen this done?

Real question: how does a hospital system using a leading EHR not know where in the facility a patient is? Father brought in via ambulance at 215pm.....and when my mother called a few hours later for an update on his status they had no idea where he was.
