Anyone recently start at a US ad agency where they are sponsoring your work visa? Advertising strategist to figure out if the TN - Management Consultant visa is still possible and if not what the best visa is if I don’t have a ton of awards/press, or am able to transfer within the same company. TIA

Anyone move from NYC to LA? Appreciate the nature, cleanliness, space, lower cost, and same coast I grew up in (Vancouver). Tempted to move now due to COVID19. I’m a 30 yr old single male - what neighborhoods do you suggest?

High(ish) performing staff to senior in transfer pricing. What can I expect in terms of raise?

Has anyone moved from consulting to Slack? How do you like Slack as a company, and how is WLB? Thanks

I am planning on giving my resignation notice in the next week. I still have sick days I want to use up. Does anyone know if I’m permitted to use my sick days during my notice period?

Hi folks! Does anyone know if you need full original copy of h1b i797 notice or just the bottom section of it for DL renewal? I only got the latter from the HR so wondering 😕

Good news: my meeting calendar is pretty light today. Bad news: between internal Slack/email and client Teams/email, I am completely slammed with work.

Anyone have insights on Deloitte’s M&A and Restructuring group? (Comp, culture, etc.)

I am extra sad and lonely today. I wish I can just be treated to a nice date by a nice man. Is that too much to ask for. My life is just work and home I’m sick of it...

What's the point of getting a B4 to do your internal audit? My understanding is it's to save time and therefore money for the external audit, but I imagine it's not cheap to have a B4 do it.

I have a union position as a therapist. My management kept telling me "we're working on it" when I asked about a raise since getting my LPC. Our union contract does not renew until 7/1 of next year. I brought this to my supervisors attention and now the director emails me to say basically "yes, we are working on a raise but nothing can happen until 7/1/2022". Has anyone else had this experience? Of management being vague and just stringing people along?

Have 46 nights on Marriott Bonvoy this year - no more work travel so if I want to get to 50 I’d have to stay 4 nights personal - have my plat status renewed for next year so staying the 4 nights would only be for getting the 5 suite night upgrades - never had them before so wondering if they’re worth spending ~$700 in essence just for them? What would u guys do?

Fishes, looking for recommendations on growing business development and sales skills. Finding and growing pipelines, establishing marketing materials, closing sales, and similar for services. I have on the job experience within consulting but never any formal training or education. Entering a new role where I'll need to build organizational capabilities from scratch. Any recommendations on programs, certificates, courses, books, or other similar ideas would be greatly appreciated. TIA!

Is it ok to tell a company that you worked for them if you are in an interview and you work for them and they ask who you work for when you work for them? Any advice would be appreciated

Thought I’d wing it and apply for a manager level position, surprisingly got an interview. The skills on the req sound the same as similar roles at the entry/associate level, no mention of (cont’d)...

Currently an OCM Associate with 2.5 YOE in consulting & 1 YOE experience in sales and going up for promotion to SA in May/June. Received a Senior Consultant offer from Cognizant that puts TC about 35-40% higher than current TC. Has anyone worked in the OCM practice at Cognizant / have any thoughts about growth, current TC vs offer, etc?

If I got offered a salary for a new job, let’s say $150,000, based on my COL and being in a HCOL city like NYC or LA — then I buy a house in Florida and move there. Will my company likely adjust my salary?

How does somebody end up as an expert on expert networks? Sounds like a great exit option as you approaches retirement.
