Question about tipping: we recently had trees trimmed on our property. It cost about $3500 for a few hours one morning for two men. They did a great job and were very friendly. We paid the invoice and the company asked if we wanted to tip them on top of that. We are surprised by the request for a tip. We expect that the tree trimming company would pay their employees a living wage and that the fees for the services include that. Thoughts on tipping in this scenario?

Trying to decide to put myself first or help out my family.
I’m currently working remote elsewhere and told the fam I’d come home to pet sit for a week. If then stay a month or two for the holidays. I met someone out here and want to stay longer to give it a shot but also don’t want to bail on family commitments.

Anyone has experience negotiating a medical bill with MGH. I got some blood work done and was sent a bill of 1800. The bill was 2700 but negotiated rate with my insurance is 1800. I got the exact same blood work done in NC 2 years back and it cost me <200. My insurance said i should have gone to labcorp. I am new to Boston and didn't know this. MGH says prices are higher as we are a teaching hospital. It's just open loot and does not make sense. Anyone dealt with a similar situation.

Can someone give me insight on completing projects for interviews? I’ve interviewed for a very associate level role that pays ~65k. The interview went well but now they want me to not only do a SWOT analysis on the company as well as present for 45 minutes on a 4 person panel. I’ve done assessments before for interviews but this seems a little excessive based on the role (eCommerce specialist) and pay range. Has anyone experienced something like this before?

Hi everyone, for those of you who became US citizens, did you have to renounce Indian citizenship before getting a visa to go back to India? Trying to plan an emergency trip and am a little confused by this process.
