I have always been a girl who had many friends and was never alone.
I don't have any friends here unfortunately and wanted to ask if there are any Facebook groups or other forums especially for Indians who want to interact with each other.

In general, you can also give me tips on how to make friends.

Gift ideas for GF dad? We have been dating a year and a half, I get along with him super well. I have a friend who lives inside my head. Every time I think of doing something important, be it a career move, who I date, where I live, I think: what will he think of that? I’m basing so much of what I do off how he will perceive it. I try to fight and ignore it but it’s agonizing and I don’t know how to let it go. We don’t even live in the same country anymore and don’t speak regularly, but we were close throughout high school and college.

Hoping this doesn’t turn controversial. Should I be teaching my young kids to read Quran in Arabic (so learn a new language just to read Quran but no value otherwise), or skip Arabic and have them read transliteration (so like Alhamdu lilahi) or third option to just read in English the translation where they will actually understand? I mean, I spend 100 dollars a week on a tutor to teach them Arabic. My parents spent thousands and I can barely read it now and prefer transliteration.thoughts?

What do people do when you feel really lonely? Just broke up when I thought things were going well, and moved to a new city where I don’t know anyone. Feels lonely and overwhelming. Scoping out therapists too but asking for any stop gap measures I can implement for a month or two.

I used to be a special Ed teacher and changed careers to an executive assistant at BMO after facing major burnout from teaching. Now that I’m a first time mom, i really want to work part time or even .75, but I do not want to go back to teaching right now. Does it bother anyone else when friends / family think that just because you have points for a hotel that it’s “free”? My girlfriends want to go on a trip and just expect me to use points for our hotel room without them pitching in at all or in other ways. Just venting. Makes me not want to go.

I'm debating whether to go for second bachelors at WGU in Cybersecurity while self studying Cloud certifications, or doing the Cloud Computing while self studying Cybersecurity certifications. Or just go Masters with IT concentration.

Is it normal to be nervous while working at a startup? This is my third startup and a month in I’m finding myself a bit anxious. I was laid off after my last company was acquired, and this company is an entirely new role and industry for me that is not Saas. I don’t know our financials exactly but it seems like we are hemorrhaging money in several areas. My managing director has also been over several past startups that have ALL failed or filed bankruptcy. Am I paranoid or justified?
