Wanted to highlight Prudential Financial’s hiring practices. They rescinded my offer once I attempted to negotiate the salary. The official reason given was that I didn’t “sound excited enough”.
They then admittedly gave the offer to someone who was less qualified. There were other red flags throughout the job offer process that the HR team should overall be ashamed of.

Going to Prague and had a layover in Russia that kept getting extended. No one spoke English but met a cool dude that translated for me. On hour 3 we said fuck it, and bought some duty free vodka. Got absolutely blasted and do not remember boarding. Ended up in Prague and partied with that guy some more and were Facebook friends still lol

In early 2000s, i was at Charles Du Galle checking in for my flight to NYC, then armed guards started running, escorted us to a different area as they were shutting down the airport due to a security threat (I think unattended luggage). We got back in line to learn that our flight was overbooked, and we were given 1 night at hotel in Paris, free dinner and $500 euros each (which covered the entire price of my ticket) plus business class seats the next day.
We got to the airport next day, they briefly shut down the airport again. Then the flight was overbooked again, but we pushed people out of our way, got to the counters and demanded to be let on that plane, so there we were, on the 2nd floor of the plane, in Air India Business Class headed to NYC and 500 euros ‘richer’😃

Got hammered and missed a flight.
Had a 6AM flight. Woke up at 3, cleaned my apt, got everything ready. Decided to have a quick nap, woke up at 5:50 and missed my flight.
I was slightly inebriated, the gate people wanted to check my bag and I ignored them and went in the finger. Gate agent said “do I need to call security?”. I gave them by bag.
Plane took off, flew for 2 hours, the weather radar broke and we had to turn around. Slept at some Marriott where a mini can of Pringles cost $10.
My flight was boarding and it took me a minute to gather my things. As I was about to show my boarding pass, the woman at the gate said, “Oh! There you are!” ?????? Turns out there were only two of us on the flight and the other passenger had already boarded. LOL!!

1.5 day layover when flight was delayed. The original layover was 8 hours. I ended up just going outside for the day

I got detained in Israel trying to leave. Basically denied boarding, so that was fun.
Flying back from Europe with now-husband and family through Fort Lauderdale when the airport shooting happened, all flights were re-routed through Miami and the connecting flights were all booked up. 3 hours waiting in the customs line plus more than another hour re-checking our bags and talking to customer service, absolute chaos. Had a 12-hour layover in an airport in Texas sleeping on the floor but we were able to get on a flight to my parents’ house on the west coast. My now-husband had to get back to Vegas and waited for a separate flight. He finally gets on a plane (separate from his luggage) and the woman next to him OD’s on heroin she somehow got through security and DIES on the flight and pees everywhere. He wakes up to urine-soaked shoes. They complete the flight with the body still there in the seat (full flight). He gets home at midnight and realizes he doesn’t have his apartment keys because they were in his checked bag. Has to check into the hotel across the street and buy a clean t-shirt at the gift shop, showers and changes into the hotel slippers. Walks home the next day across the intersection in slippers and is able to get someone to let him in. Eventually gets his luggage. All-in-all took us about 2 full days to get home and my poor husband was traumatized!

My Mom just flew MIA-JFK-TLV. There was bad weather leaving Miami so had 3 hour layover at JFK diminished to a 10 min layover. She was one of about 20 people on the flight grabbing the flight to TLV. They landed and we’re at the next gate over. Delta decided to have the TLV flight leave early so my Mom got stuck at JFK over 9 hours. My Mom doesn’t observe Shabbat, but most of the others on the flight did. They were to land in Tel Aviv before Shabbat started. This was Friday !! Insane.
