First, congratulations! I hope you recover soon and hope your baby stays healthy and happy.
To your question, I don’t know the exact answer but I’d suggest seeking help from a lawyer or your company’s legal. Their advice would be most appropriate here.
Believe so yes - depending on the country. Has she gotten US visa before? If not, I would habe her start the process now. Can take a bit.
The restrictions are lifted in November tho!

Things changed as of this morning and travel from India will be allowed starting November as long as there is proof of vaccination

You can try to hire an indian nanny with experience. Not sure about location, but you can get a full time nanny in $15/hour. It’s very tough to get visa interview appointment right now
Hire an Indian nanny. Join your local facebook groups/mom groups and they can help. I have a lot of friends who couldn’t get family help because of travel ban but they were really happy with their nannies (you can also monitor the nanny if you’re wfh).

Thanks again. I live in Midwest city and has been a challenge to find an Indian nanny as the Indian community is small here . Further we are non hindi speaking and couple of them we spoke to want to only work for hindi speaking family.
Hopefully interview slots open up from November
Hi OP, my baby boy is 3 months and was in a similar situation. Was not premature but still don’t want him going to daycare so young with the delta variant doing rounds and I also live in a state where no one really wears a mask so I didn’t go down that route.
Parents might only be able to make it here next year so I hired a nanny for the interim. Wanted to see if I can go the Indian nanny route but chose not to bc I’ve heard some bad stories about certain caretakers (not legal, some are not great with the babies and don’t care if you say you are going to complain etc).
While it costs me a bit more, I hired a nanny with infant CPR/ first aid/ covid vaccinated just to have some peace of mind. Hope that helps and good luck with your baby!
