Stay with current employer until Oct 1st then transfer
No, until Nov 1st for 2 H1B pay stub, which will be required for transfer.
I'm sure if you clarify your situation with MBB they can still have your starting date later in the year. It's a win win situation: you have your H1B secured so they don't have to roll the dice in the next lottery and in exchange they wait 6 months.
Wat if u join mbb and u don't get picked in the future..stay
Tbf MBB might just take you after 6 months bc they will have massively reduced fees for sponsoring you, since you already secured it
Answer depends on what you need! H1b lottery primarily depends on your pure luck and may not knock your door again. Whereas getting a job does not need the same luck. So you decide for yourself!
STAY. You could get employed by MBB again in future. Getting picked in H1 is luck! Plz, don't waste this luck.
Also, ask the recruiter if they can wait for you till December.
Request your recruiter! It will be an advantage for the company as well - if you join with a more stable visa.
Otherwise, try for a job switch next year
Ask to extend your start date. I know people started more than a year after their offer date. You will not need to interview again either. You also do not need to 2 paychecks. It is either paychecks or offer letter when changing employers. I may be wrong on the latter but I am sure of the former
Second this. Talk to your recruiter, they're very flexible once you've gotten the offer. I've personally pushed my start date to more than a year later due to similar issues. And this will be beneficial for them as well, saving money from a new H1B application and certainty that you will have legal status when you're ready to join them is much more important than starting right now.
Same advice as above - talk with MBB recruiters and explain your situation. All MBB have great immigration teams - they will advise. And ask for potential delayed start date so you can port your H1B. Getting H1 is more difficult than to get to MBB these days, imho.
Can the selection be transferred to MBB lol?
Good call
In the same boat as you op! Congrats on the lottery but alas timing didnt work out
