Help! I moved into a new apt building in November. rent here is about 3k but avg rent in this area is way less. There’s been many things I’ve noticed AFTER moving in but the one thing that I can’t get over is the people who live above me. I HEAR their music at 7 am. Like I can sing along to the lyrics that’s how loud it is. It sounds like someone is running back and forth / moving furniture alllll day. It’s driving us insane. Can someone please help with what I can say to the leasing office?

Have you confronted them? I had this problem before and the people apologized and stopped

Go upstairs and talk to them

Honestly I have confronted neighbors about noise in every apartment I’ve ever lived in. Most people have no clue how much sound travels. Go talk to them.

Tell the office people that your neighbors upstairs are disturbing your peace. 😆🤣

Had one of those partying with 10-20 people 5 days a week until 5am. Talked to then, complained at the leasing office and at some point just broke the lease and moved out

Current mortgage at my old place is ~$3.5k all including principal/interest + escrow (insurance, property tax etc) with a 2.875% interest rate. Never been a landlord before and obviously not a great time to be selling so curious how much would I need to get in rent in order to make it worth it to me and not losing $$$?

Im trying to flip a new build - long story, but have had certain circumstances come up and can't keep the home - but I'm now competing with the builder because they have homes still being built in the neighborhood (there is nothing against me selling it). They have started offering added incentives and low balling due to market conditions. What do I have and what can I do to sell mine? Or should I give up and just rent it out and wait? Any advice appreciated.
