Joint pain can possibly be an autoimmune reaction (some kinds of arthritis have a similar mechanism) and so could very well be a side effect of the vaccine. When did she get the shot? When did symptoms emerge? How long has it been? What do you mean when you say docs aren’t helpful?

like

Doc told her to wait it out when? Have you followed up and said it’s been a long time now? The solve here is through a health care provider, and I’m not trying to be obtuse here — you need to go back to a doctor, either this one or someone else, until someone puts together a treatment plan for this.

Careful, any criticism of the vaccine will lead to the mob coming for you. I hope your mother improves, did she recently get the second shot?

Um yah probs

Go to another doctor in the network. Asking this app won’t lead to anything.

One thing to ask doctors about is rheumatism - immune reactions can easily cause flare-ups independent of vaccination, and many don’t have it on their radar when it happens the first time. My aunt had one after a flu-shot last year and needed cortisol to get it back under control, but then took the cov-shot rather well .. … hope she gets well soon!

Are you sure it's not.... the Lupus? I have Lupus and have significant joint pain. That's what the disease does lol

like

Its ok - I really hope yours gives you a break. Its a horrible disease and consulting probably stresses your body I’m sure

Absolutely no offense intended, and I do hope your mom is okay. But fishbowl is 1000% NOT the place where you should be seeking any kind of medical advice. Pretty much no one on here is a healthcare professional, and I’d really recommend calling your mom’s primary care provider before listening to anyone on here. I’m assuming your mom has a PCP since she has an autoimmune disorder.

I’m sorry to hear. I’ve had issues with my sons health and understand the pushback. Find specialist that deal with long haul or symptoms from vivid and the vaccine for her group. Look into research and voluntary programs for access to research and meds. Good luck

If doctors aren’t being helpful, your best bet is a reputable acupuncturist. See if there are any your area that use “ AcuGraph”. It’s an amazing technology.

She hasnt had joint pain and any lupus symptoms for 2+ years and shortly after the vaccine this happens - someone told me it can happen to lime disease, athritis, and immunocompromised patients

My nerve issues got worse after the vaccine too so following

Hi all! I’m doing some research on parental leave policies to make a case to improve ours. How many weeks does your policy offer? Does it differ between “primary” and “secondary” caregiver? It you could comment with your agency name, I’d be super grateful. Thank you thank you! ❤️

I also bought a house (that I don’t live in), so I went to H&R Block to give it a try assuming they could advise me on optimizing my return, it seemed that they are completely transactional as the person is just typing numbers in a form. Any recommendations on how to navigate personal taxes with an actual advisor?

I was swarmed with work in June and until 10 days ago, now everything's gone silent again. I'm guessing it's directly related to the COVID uncertainty (e.g. 2nd waves and all). Until we have a vaccine we won't be making a lot of money, I guess. I'm on track to bill 1750 hours this year if I'm lucky.

Does anyone feel like the Big4 is still paying lip service to D&I? Or is it a case of making baby steps? Before we go to the big things like composition of leadership, it’s the little things like who we see speaking in trainings, meetings or webcasts. I just finished a meeting and all the people who spoke were white men and it’s been like this. I kept asking how it never occurred to any of them to look out for others and give speaking opportunities. These are the little things excluding people.

I'm not talking about things like physical abuse etc. but due to separation from parents at a young age which was driven by circumstances and decisions parents made. It has impacted my romantic relationships and causes constant anxiety at work because I feel like a helpless child inside, lack confidence and self worth and fear failure. So my wife basically said she doesn’t want to have sex anymore. Don’t want to do anything about it. After couple kids, doesn’t feel it anymore. Also said it wasn’t anything I did and there’s no one else. I understand women’s body changes after child birth but can’t help thinking it’s gonna suck being in a sexless marriage. We’re still attractive and haven’t turned into couch potatoes…yet Happy Thanksgiving!

Like the gym / classes, but the time saving aspect of at home workouts is great and better for us right now with baby. Might get this as gift for hubby.

As a member of the bar, it is unfortunate some of the fellow lawyers abuse their position by threatening non-lawyers who find a concept of litigation too intimidating. A family member was trying to rent out an apartment and received multiple offers. One of the prospective renters is now threatening to sue unless they get paid for a month worth of rent or they actually get the apt. No paper signed, but they tried to make it sound like they actually had a meritorious case using lawyer status.
